Our Story

Silk Mill Condos is located in Port Jervis, an old railroad city in Orange County, New York. This historic building that now houses Silk Mill Condominums started as the old K&M Knitting Mill, then became Tex-Ray Silk Mills and later Novelty Slippers. Broad Silks, dresses, ties, and other clothing products were made on the property. The prior proprietors made in the excess of 1500 yards a day with 80 looms. The silk mill was a major employer in the city of Port Jervis. Since 1986, it has been Silk Mill Condos.

Port Jervis, New York History:

Port Jervis was once located entirely within the boundaries of the Town of Deerpark, which was created in 1798. Port Jervis was first was incorporated as a village in 1853, and then, after being partitioned from the Town of Deerpark, it became a city in 1907.

Port Jervis has long been a transportation center.
